The Hidden Tragedy of Entitlements: What a 12-Year Welfare Abuser Says About Finding a Job

See what this 30 year old, who’s been abusing welfare for 12 years, has to say about finding a job…

This mentality that gets passed down from generation to generation of welfare abusers has gotten way out of hand. Americans are getting lazy and feeling entitled to money from the government. They are being enabled to stay out of work for years, this isn’t helping anyone.

The woman in the video below says that she has been on welfare for 12 years, which means she’s been on welfare since she first became an adult at the age of 18! She has 4 kids and is comfortable with being unemployed because she gets a welfare check every month.

From IJR:

YoungCons points out a great quote by Ronald Reagan, “Welfare’s purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.”

This follows a sage quote by Benjamin Franklin: “I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

There are people who genuinely need assistance, we should help them! People like this are abusing the system and need to be prosecuted for fraud.

There should be a time limit that a person can be on welfare, then there should be assistance in getting into some sort of trade to begin supporting themselves. This is what America needs, not a bunch of entitled adults with no motivation to do better for themselves because they get free money and food.
